Vox Poetica Ensemble
Vox Poetica Ensemble

The vocal and instrumental group Vox Poetica Ensemble was founded at the end of 2004 within the Association “Musica Poetica” (Fermo), bringing together singers united by the desire to study and perform the choral repertoire. The group performs immediately some of the major baroque and classical operas for choir and orchestra, as well as the “a cappella” renaissance, romantic, contemporary repertoire.
In order to improve its performance practice, the group attended training seminars (also as Laboratory-choir) with Marco Berrini, Lorenzo Donati, Dario Tabbia, Stephen Woodbury.
The Choir performed several cantatas by J.S. Bach, Psalms by G.F. Handel, Mozart’s Requiem and many compositions by Palestrina, De Victoria, Gagliano, Monteverdi, Lotti, Legrenzi, Vivaldi, Galuppi, Giordani, Mendelssohn, Britten, Pärt, and many contemporary compositions.
It promotes musical initiatives as “Il Barocco nel Fermano”, the “International Organ Festival Città di Porto San Giorgio”, and the Choral Competition “Città di Fermo”.
Since its foundation, the Choir is conducted by Maestro Mario Ciferri.
