The Choir was born in 2004 thanks to a group of young girls’ desire to continue choral singing after primary school. During its activity, it collaborated with numerous associations, such as the Opera Munifica Istruzione of Turin (a historic charity association who worked between XVII and XX century to guarantee free education, ndt), the Suzuki andh the Cultural Association Mythos, with whom it produced seven chamber operas.
During the celebration for the 150th Anniversary of the Italian Unification, the Choir performed in the Lingotto Auditorium and in the RAI Auditorium of Turin withe the Historical Orchestra of Firemen of the City of Turin. The Choir sang for MITO/FRINGE (Turin, 2011) and MITO/SETTEMBRE MUSICA (Milan and Turin – 2012).
In 2012 they attended the festival Europa Cantat.
In May 2014 the attended the European Youth Choir Festival in Neerpelt (Belgium) winning the First Prize summa cum laude.
In May 2016 they won the Third Prize at the “Il Garda in coro” International Competition for youth choirs.
In September 2016 the group sang for the season MITO/SETTEMBRE MUSICA.
The Choir recorded two CDs: the first one was recorded in spring 2010 at the Fondazione Spinola di Banna, while the second was recorded in June 2014 in the church of Saint Pelagia in Turin.
The Choir is cunducted by Paola De Faveri, headmaster in the “Marconi/Antonelli” Comprehensive Institute, and it’s accompanied at the piano by Marco Cordiano, lecturer of Harmony Theory and Analysis at the Conservatory of Piacenza.
