Insieme Corale Ecclesia Nova

Insieme Corale Ecclesia Nova was founded in October 2000 in Bosco Chiesanuova. The name of the choir is the one with which the Chiesanuova parish is mentioned on the official church records, in Latin, since it was founded in the fourteenth century.
The group studies and performs sacred and secular choral works of the western tradition, from medieval to contemporary music, a cappella or with instrumental accompaniment. It collaborates with other choirs, conductors, composers, sing teachers, instrumentalists, singers, orchestras.
The choir has performed in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad and successfully participated in choral competitions: in 2008 it stand out at the 5th Coralità Veneta Festival, where it received four awards, including the Grand Prize of the Festival (first prize). In 2010 the choir won the 2nd prize at the Vittorio Veneto National Competition, in 2012 the 3rd prize at the Guido d’Arezzo National Competition.
The group also collaborates in the organization of musical events with public and private entities: since 2005, was formed in Music Association, whose aim is to promote and spread the musical culture. Particular importance is “Voce!” – Choral Music Festival, an event that takes place during the summer in the town of Bosco Chiesanuova.
In 2010 l’Insieme Corale Ecclesia Nova celebrated its first ten years. For this celebration, five important composers of Veneto (Mario Lanaro, Pier Damiano Peretti, Giorgio Susana, Pierangelo Valtinoni and Mauro Zuccante) have composed new songs for a cappella choir.
