Coro Polifonico San Paolo
Coro Polifonico San Paolo

The Coro Polifonico San Paolo was founded in 1961 in order to animate the liturgies in the Cathedral of Reggio Calabria. From 1996, the Choir continues its liturgical and concert activities directed by Maestro Carmen Cantarella. The choir activity lists statements in prestigious Competitions (Bologna, Arezzo, Pescara, Roccasecca, Porto Empedocle, Benevento, Paola, Rombiolo, Vibo Valentia, Polizzi Generosa), national and international choral festivals, twinnings with Italian and European Choirs. The Choir’s repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to ancient and modern polyphony, from Negro spirituals to regional, national and international folk. With publications and recordings the Choir gave a significant contribution to the discovery of the polyphonic production in Calabria.
Since 1997 it is part of the OCC Feniarco.
