The Musical Association Coro Dauno “Umberto Giordano” was founded in 2004 by Luciano Fiore.
In it, there are the Children Choir, the Youth Choir and the Poliphonic Choir.
All the Choirs attended numerous national competitions (Malcesine, Salerno, Foggia) achieving various prizes.
In addition to a variegated a capella repertoire, the Choirs often perform also accompanied repertoire (Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mozart’s Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, John Rutter’s Gloria) holding concerts in various Italian cities (Rome, Turin, Bari, Lecce, Taranto, Benevento) and in important places as the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome and the “G. Verdi” Conservatory Auditorium in Turin.
During workshops and concerts, the Choirs were directed by Pierpaolo Scattolin, Marco Berrini, Gabriele Bonolis, Nicola Conci, Fabio De Angelis, Fabrizio Vestri, Tullio Visioli, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Alessandro Cadario.
In 2011 the Youth Choir was selected between the eight Italian choirs for the Cantare è giovane Festival held in Turin.
