Italy – Noicattaro (Ba)

The Poliphonic Choir “Il Setticlavio” is an amateur choir born in 1991 under Vito Liturri and Chiara Lamorgese’s artistic direction.
The choir conducts and intense concert activity on the Apulian territory singing an ample repertoire, from opera to sacred music, from easy listening to negro-spirituals and musicals, employing also various instrumental accompaniments (orchestra, ensemble, quartets, piano, organ, etc.).
The Choir gave birth to numerous young nojan talents that today are well-known and esteemed musicians of national and international level, but it’s also characterised by a mixed team (both in age and vocal style), which permits a continuous generational exchange between people who simply share their passion for music.
The Choir attended various Choral Festivals, some of which organised by “Il Setticlavio” Association, of which the Choir is integral part and also badge of honor.
In 2007 the Choir attended the “P. Argento” X International Music Competition in Gioia del Colle (Bari), gaining the Certificate of Merit; in 2007, the Choir attended the XIV Edition of the T.I.M. – Torneo Internazionale di Musica (International Music Tournament) in the “N. Van Westerout” theatre in Mola di Bari.
In May 2017 the Choir attended the “Mediterraneo” International Competition in Sannicandro (Bari), gaining the First Prize.
The Choir collaborated to the making of the CD The Spirit of Pino, in partnership with the great Apulian accordionist Pino Di Modugno.
