The Choir was founded in November 2006 under Massimo Mazza’s conduction in order to constitute a vocal group made only by women. The goal was to give the territory a more innovative choral proposal than the existing ones.
The Choir is divided into two, three or four voices, based on the piece.
In Laetitia Chorus’s project is to propose an ample repertorie to the public, going from Gregorian chant to more modern composition.
In Laetitia Chorus held its first concert in Arese (MI) in December 2006 and in Northern Italy during spring 2007.
During its intense and increasing artistic activity, in 2008 and 2009 the Choir was invited to attend regional and international competitions, achieving good positions and praises from the jury, the public and the critics.
In April 2012 the Choir attended the XII International Choral Competition in Riva del Garda achieving the Diploma d’Argento (the second most important prize of the competition) and, in the same month, the Choir achieved the first prize in the “L. Toya” National Choral Competition.
Since 2006 the Choir held hundreds of concerts and organised musical events on the territory involving varoius institutions and always gaining the public’s appreciation.
The Choir had the honor to be accompanied by top level musicians and received ad hoc arrangement ad a gift.
In 2011 In Laetitia Chorus made its first CD, In Laetitia Chorus singing John Rutter, a tribute to the English contemporary composer.
In 2014 the Choir attended the TV choral competition La Canzone di Noi, reaching the finals. From that experience, they released the second CD: In Laetitia…Pop!
