Stefano Da Ros (1961)  obtained diplomas in piano, choral music and choral conducting and composition at the Trieste and Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory; he has also attended numerous seminars and master classes given by famous musicians.
He won prizes in several national and international composition contests (Cagliari, Trieste, Belvidere, Verona, Como, Messina, Rome, Pavia, Trento), choral harmonization (Venice, Trieste, Trento) and polyphonic contests (Stresa, Adria, Treviso); he collaborates with numerous festivals, organizations, associations and individual performers.
His compositions are mostly published (Bèrben, Suvini-Zerboni, Pizzicato, Pro Musica Studium, E.M.E., Rugginenti, Carrara) and some have been broadcasted by RAI, and recorded on CD (Rivo Alto, Colloquia, Velut Luna).
He is the artistic coordinator of the national choir competition “Trofei Città di Vittorio Veneto”, as well as founder and artistic director of the Permanent Laboratory of choral harmonization and of the “Suoni di fiaba” International Composition Competition for Children in Vittorio Veneto. He has been, for some years, artistic coordinator of the “Premio Città di Vittorio Veneto” biennial National Violin Competition and of the “Mario Benvenuti” national string competition.
He has been member of A.S.A.C. Veneto artistic Commission. He cooperates with various organizations and associations for the organization of competitions, concerts, conferences and listening guides. He has collaborated with newspapers and specialized magazines as a music critic.
Since 1980 he is music teacher in middle school and since 2004 he is school dirigent. He was for six years Regional Coordinator for the musical activities of the Regional School Office for the Veneto.
He is a member of the Control Room for music schools established in 2011 at the Ministry for Education, University and Research.
Since September 2013, he is school director at the Secondary School “Marconi” of Conegliano (TV).
