Maestro Italo Montiglio

Born in Cormòns (GO) in 1947, he conducted classical studies in Gorizia. Teacher of music education and theatrical-expressive disciplines at the school of compulsory education (1970-1984), in 1985 he won the national competitions for school management and teaching in secondary schools of the second grade, opting for teaching.
From 1985 to 1997 he is a professor of ordinary roles in Philosophy, Psychology and Pedagogy in High Schools; From 1990 to 2005 teacher of Musical Communication Fundamentals, Methodology of Music Education and Teaching of Music at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Trieste; From 1990 to 2010 lecturer in Music Culture and Music Education at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Pula (HR). Since 1971 he has been active in the association of C. A. Seghizzi, initially as choir director, since 1975 as coordinator and artistic director, since 1997 as president, since 2012 again as director of the choir “Seghizzi”. From 1975 to 1983 he is director of the Coral Group “Città di Gradisca”; Since 1979 he is director of the Men’s Choir “Lorenzo Perosi” in Fiumicello (Udine); From 1996 to 2013 director of the choir of the Basilica of Aquileia. Since 2015 she is the director of the choir “Giuseppe Schiff” of Chiopris-Viscone (UD).
Organistic activities: from 1968 to 1980 he is organist of the Cathedral of Cormòns (GO); From 1990 to 1996 he is organist of the church of Villa Vicentina (UD).
He is author of texts of music pedagogy published by Le Monnier in Florence, and editor of 31 volumes of the Acts of European Conferences on Music Education and Choir Music (Gorizia); He has also published essays of music culture with regional and national publishing houses; He is the editor of musicological publications.
He has been juror in international choral singing competitions in Arezzo (I), Tours (F), Varna (Bulgaria), Debrecen (Hungary), Toulouse (Spain), Montreux (Switzerland) and many other national and regional Italian and foreign competitions.
Founder and President of CERIDO International Research Center Intercultural and Multimedia Design and Experimental Documentation since the 1990s, he has been systematically dedicated to research and production in Digital Art with the artistic pseudonym of Oltai Lindenberg.
His works have been published by the magazine Sgrafica, published by Cerido, as of January 2008.
