Italy – Baronissi (Sa)

The Vocal Ensemble “Academia” was born in 2014 in a project made by its director Roberto Maggio and the students of the Music Consevatory of Avellino.
Initially the ensemble was meant to realize a bigger project with the Erasmus programme, but it continued to exist also thanks to the cohoperation with other expert singers from other choirs in Campania.
In those two years, the group produced various recordings of ancient and contemporary polyphonic pieces, performing both in Italy and abroad with thematic projects in cohoperation with foreign universities.
Today, the group continues its activity independently, as its director’s new artistic experience.
