Coro Femminile Eos

The Female Choir “Eos” from Rome borns from the experience, between 1995 and 2000, as children choir “Primavera.”
Since its debut as a female choir in 2000, the group studies various forms of choral music, starting from medieval to folk music, but with a focus on contemporary music, with the performance of “Prime Assolute” specifically written for the Eos Choir. The show “A Roma se racconta che …”, an original mix of choral music and theater, achieved resounding success.
The first CD of the Choir, “L’inCanto” (Erreffe 2006), is a summary of the performance possibilities of the Eos choir; a second CD was recorded in 2011, in partnership to Musicanova chorus, “Singing Christmas” (Erreffe), and the last one in 2016 “EchOeS” (Erreffe 2016), including contemporary music for female choir.
The Choir won many prizes during National (Rieti, Vasto, Zagarolo, Teramo, Arezzo, Vittorio Veneto) and International Choir Competitions (Rome, Arezzo, Gorizia, Cantonigròs – Spain, Neuchatel – Switzerland, Debrecen – Hungary).
In more detail: the prize for Renaissance and contemporary repertoires and Feniarco Award as best Italian choir at 51st Gorizia International Competition (2012); 1st Prize in the category “Youth choirs” and category “Original Copyright Music” at the 47th National Competition of Vittorio Veneto (2013); first prizes obtained by the choir Eos to LXII edition at the National Competition Guido d’Arezzo (2014), at the 2nd edition of “Giovani in coro” (Nettuno 2014), and for the female choirs category at the International Competition “Musica Sacra a Roma “(2015); the second prize for equal voices category and participation in the Grand Prix at the XXVII International Competition “Béla Bartók” of Debrecen in Hungary (2016).
